She is certified in hospice and palliative care through the American Animal Hospital Association as well as a certified animal nutritionist. Chris entered the vet med field later in life as she co-owns a music school with her husband of 35 years and worked as a professional pianist/vocalist in the music industry since her college days. While juggling being a mom to her 3 beautiful children, she worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician at several Michigan Veterinary Hospitals and Clinics. Chris worked as a lab assistant in the large animal and anesthesia classes in the Veterinary Technician Program at a community college and served as a practice manager and LVT for a mobile veterinary practice. Currently, Chris is educating children k-12 through 4H and substituting for school programs at a local school farm teaching Zoology, Farm/Agriculture and Veterinary Science. Chris shares her home with her animal family of 2 dogs, a cat, several guinea pigs and 2 fish tanks.
